UAE President Declares Seven Days of Mourning
In a separate development, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has declared seven days of mourning upon the passing of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, the ruler of Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Tahnoun died on Thursday at the age of 64. He was a close advisor to his brother, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the late president of the UAE, and was widely respected for his wisdom and leadership.
The seven days of mourning will begin on Friday, May 26th, and will end on Thursday, June 1st. During this time, flags will be flown at half-mast and government offices will be closed.
