What Happens When You Delete Your Telegram Account?

When you delete your Telegram account, you lose all your chat messages, secret chats, groups, channels, media, and more. The account will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Telegram Account

You can manually delete your Telegram account via either the desktop or mobile app. Here are the steps:

1. Open the Telegram app on your device.
2. Tap on the menu icon in the top left corner.
3. Select "Settings."
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap on "Delete account."
5. Enter your phone number and tap on "Delete my account."
6. Confirm your decision by tapping on "Yes, delete my account."

Note: Once you delete your Telegram account, you cannot recover it.
