Overview
Catching Fire, originally titled En llamas, is the second film in the Hunger Games franchise, based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. The film was directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, and Jack Quaid as Marvel. The story follows Katniss and Peeta as they return home to District 12 after winning the 74th Hunger Games, only to find themselves targeted by the Capitol for their defiance.
Plot
After winning the Hunger Games, Katniss and Peeta become targets of the Capitol. President Snow (Donald Sutherland) forces them to compete in the 75th Hunger Games, a special edition that will be even more dangerous than the last. Katniss and Peeta are joined by other tributes from the other districts, including Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin), Johanna Mason (Jena Malone), and Beetee Latier (Jeffrey Wright). Together, they must fight to survive and find a way to overthrow the Capitol.
