Baroni: Lazio will bring out Tavares' incredible potential

Lazio boss Paolo Baroni has backed new signing Ricardo Tavares to become a key player for the Biancocelesti.

Tavares joined Lazio from Benfica in the summer and has impressed in pre-season, scoring two goals in three appearances.

Baroni believes that the 20-year-old has the potential to be a top player and is confident that he can help him reach his full potential at Lazio.

"Tavares is a very talented player with a lot of potential," Baroni said in an interview with Lazio's official website.

"He's still young, but he's already shown that he has the quality to play at the highest level. I'm looking forward to working with him and helping him to develop his game.

"I'm confident that he can become a key player for Lazio in the years to come."

Tavares is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions, including left-back, left-wing and attacking midfield.

He is known for his pace, skill and eye for goal. Tavares has represented Portugal at youth level and is expected to make his senior debut in the near future.

Lazio will be hoping that Tavares can help them to challenge for the Serie A title this season.

The Biancocelesti finished fourth last season and will be looking to improve on that this time around. They have made a number of signings in the summer, including Tavares, and will be hoping to mount a serious title challenge.
