Parker Announces Pregnancy in December

Candace Parker, the WNBA superstar, announced the arrival of her first child with wife Anna Petrakova on Tuesday. The two-time WNBA champion and MVP welcomed a baby boy on Friday, February 11, 2022. Parker's son is named Airr Larry Petrakov Parker after her father, Larry Parker.

In December 2021, Parker announced that Petrakova was pregnant. She shared the news with her fans on Instagram, posting a photo of herself and Petrakova holding a sonogram image. "We're so excited to add a little one to our family," Parker wrote in the caption.

Parker and Petrakova, who married in 2019, are already parents to Parker's daughter Lailaa, who is from a previous relationship. Petrakova also has a son, Jaxon, from a previous relationship.

The birth of Airr is a special moment for Parker, who has been open about her struggles with fertility. In 2019, she underwent IVF treatment in order to conceive. Parker has also spoken about the importance of representation for LGBTQ+ families.
